It’s 1972 at Ohio State University. In the midst of Vietnam War protests and racial tensions, newly married Julie and Ron Howard, devout Mormons, face challenges that test their faith and even their commitment to each other.
As seen through the eyes of non-LDS narrator David Duncan, they learn that love, whether between two people, races, or religions, is often achieved only through intense heartache.
